The Vilincia Coven: Attested Review

Battling the dark side is hard enough, now he has the lives of the world in his hands. Cole knows now what the prophecy meant and that it was for him to fulfill. Can he live up to the Taylor name and the path his grandfather laid out for him? And can he actually survive his 18th birthday and the transition into a god?

Knowing her destiny, Whitney still lets Cole into her heart. And keeping her alive is all he lives for. He doesn’t want to admit how vulnerable he is. Or that it is Whitney who was sent to protect him. She wants him to save her, she wishes for it to be the truth. Her death has been attested though, hadn’t it? Can Cole change the paths for both Whitney and himself? Against all odds will the coven come together to keep us safe from the darkness we can’t see?

Only the attested will tell us.

The Vilincia Coven: The Attested

Book 2 in The Vilincia Coven series.

If you like love stories with a fantasy twist, get reading this wonderful series! The second book in the Vilincia Coven series is  rip-roaring ride of romance , destiny and a race against time.

Cole Taylor is just your average 17-year-old. OK, not quite. On his 18th birthday, he’ll make the momentous transition into a God…if he survives, that is! That won’t be an easy job, since he’s been given the task of guarding the beautiful Whitney, whose death seems to be inevitable unless the future can be rewritten. As he finds himself falling in love with her, he decides to change both of their destinies. Will he succeed? I’m not telling 😉

Having read the first book in The Vilincia Coven series, I eagerly anticipated this one. Jenn Thompson did not disappoint! The action comes thick and fast, the characters are endearing and there are plenty of twists and turns to keep you hooked from start to finish. I loved the developing relationship between Whitney and Cole. It was interesting and posed the question of just who was going to save who. They were both equally developed throughout the story, which I also enjoyed. Sometimes it can feel as though more attention is paid to one character than another, but this isn’t the case here. Jenn Thompson also keeps the action sustained throughout the whole story, with a good sense of pacing. There isn’t a dull moment in this book, I was thoroughly captivated until the end.
